This part of England is filled with amazing beaches, campsites, and more. If you love trekking through the countryside or spending time in small seaside towns, you’ll love Cornwall. What’s more, this is a great place for motorhome and campervan trips. Having said that, be sure to remember that Cornwall does have some windy roads, with many towns that are not suitable for a large motorhome. Keep this in mind when planning your trip.

The best time to head out on your trip is mid-week; this way, you’ll avoid the heavier traffic found on the weekends and during the week. Stop at the Eden Project, which is a great eco-visitor attraction. Here, you’ll learn about the living world and explore ways to make the world a better place. The project is situated in a massive crater filled with biomes. Inside, you’ll find the largest rainforest in captivity, exhibitions, amazing plants, and more.

Camel Estuary

Next, visit the Camel Estuary, which is near Padstow. Here, you can try surfing, walking the waves, and even bodyboarding. If you love seafood, then Padstow is the place for you. Here, you’ll also find the Padstow Touring Park, which is a great place to camp with your motorhome or campervan.

St. Ives

This is a lovely Cornish holiday spot. St. Ives has some beautiful beaches and a lively atmosphere. The town features shops, restaurants, bars, and more. You’ll also find some amazing galleries here, in this small town with a cosmopolitan feel.

In St Ives, you’ll find the Ayr Holiday Park, which offers a coastal path to Porthmoer beach, and then on to St. Ives.


At Porthcurno, you’ll find amazing beaches and hidden coves and the Minack Theatre. Take a trek into Sennen Cove and the in mines at Botallack.

Here, you can stay at the Trevedra Farm Campsite, which feels as if you’re staying in nature. You’ll also find great beach access here, along with a welcoming environment for motorhomes and campervans from the farm’s owners.

The Lake District

If you’re looking for rugged, scenic places to visit, then look no farther than the Lake District. Here, you’ll find the national park in Cumbria, along with the towns of Keswick and Ambleside. The area also features sixteen lakes and tarns, making this one of the most beautiful areas in the UK.

The Lake District offers accessibility for motorhomes, but you may encounter some twisty, windy roads that are narrow. However, you should be able to manage this area just fine with a motorhome.

Stay at the Hillside Farm, near the foot of Helvellyn, which is close to the village of Glenridding. Another lovely campsite is near Keswick and is called Derwentwater Camping and Caravanning Club Site. You’ll find some of the best motorhome campsites in the Lake District.

The New Forest

The New Forest is a historic forest located in Hampshire, which was planted in 1079 by William the Conqueror. As a result, the area is filled with traditional and historical sites. The area also includes wild ponies & pigs, beautiful Highland cattle, deer, and more. You won’t find a more tranquil place to go on your motorhome or campervan trip.

While you’re in the area, why not check out Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. You can also visit Brockenhurst, which is a village south of the New Forest. Here, you’ll find excellent areas for cycling, walking, and more. The village also sports some pubs. Don’t forget to check out the great takeaway fish and fish shop there, in the village.

While you’re in the New Forest, stay at the Hollands Wood Campsite, where you’ll find some great places to park your motorhome.

Another campsite to check out in the area is the Red Shoot Camping Park. It’s just a few miles away, on the edge of the forest. The park is friendly and great for families.


Snowdonia & Anglesey

Fancy a Welsh trip, then why not consider making the trek over to Snowdonia? Located in north Wales, the areas offer pristine nature under huge skies. This is the place for a wonderful outdoor adventure.

Speaking of adventure, why not cross the Menai suspension bridge in your campervan? Then you can visit the Isle of Anglesey. Here, you’ll find some brilliant beaches, wonderful hiking trails, and more. You’ll be in a remote area away from all the noise and bustle of living in the city.

You can stay at Bryn Glock Caravan and Camping Park, surrounded by nature right at the foot of Snowden.

Newborough Beach

Next, up why not take a trip over to Newborough Beach on Anglesey? Enjoy the Newborough Forest, when you can walk and take in the beautiful scenery.

Here’s a beautiful mountain town, situated in a valley. You’ll find shops selling all types of outdoor gear and companies offering outdoor adventures. The pubs are also popular here, especially with climbers talking about their treks. The area is filled with all kinds of outdoor sports & activities. It’s the perfect place for active outdoor enthusiasts.
